Burgess Energy, Inc., a Texas corporation since 1981, has researched and developed exploration and drilling projects in North and South Texas over the past 30 years.

The principals of BEI, R. Lane Burgess, R. Kent Burgess, and D. Herman Jackson, have a combined oilfield experience in excess of 100 years.

South Texas

The area of interest is west of Corpus Christi in Jim Wells County in the prolific Frio-Vicksburg formations. The depths range from 2,800 feet to 13,000 feet.

North Texas

The area of interest is the Bend Arch-Fort Worth Basin, located west of Fort Worth, in Stephens County. This area has produced oil and gas since the early 1920s from multiple formations ranging from 700 feet to over 4,500 feet. The Barnett Shale formation extends under our properties with additional production potential in the deeper Granite Wash formation.

North Texas Area

The Palo Duro Basin of North Texas holds a very promising future with the improved geophysical, drilling, and completion techniques. Burgess Energy, Inc. has several projects planned in the known producing formations as well as the deeper Bend Shale. Over the last few years and in anticipation of our future exploration projects, BEI has conducted geophysical surveys, and obtained seismic data and geological reports covering various areas.

Burgess Energy, Inc. is actively pursuing exploration projects and appreciates the opportunity to acquaint you with our company.
